Imagine our surprise when we discovered the plethora of vegetarian and vegan dining options Edinburgh has to offer!. It must be one of the most vegetarian/vegan friendly cities we’ve come across during our travels so far."

In The Pantry’s Stockbridge restaurant, you can tuck into Sunshine in Stockbridge – it’s only fitting that there should be a Sunshine on Leith too. We proclaim this to be one of Leith’s (possibly Edinburgh’s) Best Brunches!"

As well as the neoclassical memorial of David Hume, it is also worth highlighting the tall black obelisk erected in the memory of a number of political reformers and an enormous statue of Abraham Lincoln which is Scotland’s American Civil War Memorial."
