"This market, located on the banks of the Water of Leith, has become one of the most popular in town for a number of reasons. The paella served up there has become something of a local phenomenon while the impressive selection of cakes, pastries and donuts on offer rarely fails to whet the appetite. People also flock to the jubilee gardens each Sunday to sample some of the artisan breads and cheese brought along, and browse the selection of jewellery, arts and crafts."
"Come Sunday, follow your nose to Stockbridge Market and weave your way between stalls serving freshly baked bread, crêpes, sweet treats and more. While the farmer's market is not 100 per cent meat-free, there are plenty of plant-pushing stalls such as Casa Roble Paella (order a heaped plate of veggie paella) and Harajuku Kitchen, which serves great dumplings and udon noodles paired with Asian-style vegetables."
"Open every Sunday from 10am-4pm in Jubilee Gardens, the Stockbridge Sunday market is a big hit with local Edinburgh residents. Artisan breads, cheese, smoked salmon and even handmade dog treats sit alongside handmade soaps, jewellery and carefully created crafts. Satisfy your palate with delicious handmade crepes, melting marshmallows or a warming drink as you stroll through this delightful market."

"I wasn’t 100% sure Celino’s did doughnuts, but I popped in one afternoon to get some of their delicious n’duja when I noticed a cake stand full of bombolone, or Italian filled doughnuts. In terms of flavour options, there were only three to choose from: pistachio, custard or chocolate hazelnut, although plain sugared ring doughnuts were also an option!. These were, unfortunately, quite disappointing."
"Evening, day time, tapas, pre-theatre and a la carte menus are all available here - so you can dine anytime. There is a huge range of dishes on offer. The children’s menu serves up traditional Italian grub such as pizza, spaghetti gamberoni and penne salsiccia."
"Although it's famed for its savoury Italian offerings, Celino's is always full of Weegies on the go, grabbing a quick coffee before work."
"The Compass Bar is a lovely gastro pub located close to Leith Links at the corner of Queen Charlotte Street. The rough brickwork and rich red paint of the interior is studded with wooden framed prints and simple dark wooden tables sit snugly in the cozy dining area. The menu is not particularly adventurous; featuring classic pub dishes like fish and chips and steak pie, but the food is lovingly prepared from fresh produce."
"The charming Orchard Bar and Restaurant in the heart of Canonmills, on Howard Place, is a favourite with families. In the winter the windows are lit up with fairy lights and by summer there are seats outside lining the street so you can have drinks on the terrace. Opening a new café in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic was always going to be a risky gambit, but the folks behind Grams seemed to have pulled it off with their latest venture: Plant Bae. With Grams now moving to Stockbridge, Plant Bae has settled into its big brother’s old digs opposite Haymarket Station."
